Once and Future Wines Dinner in the Cellar at Forepaugh’s with the wines introduced virtually by legendary winemaker Joel Peterson himself Joel, AKA the Godfather of Zinfandel, has been a winemaker for 50 years. Joel founded and built Ravenswood into a powerhouse, at one point producing over 1,000,000 cases of Zinfandel annually. His latest project is Once & Future Wines, where he focuses on making small production, hand-crafted single vineyard Zinfandels, resurrecting his old redwood fermenters that honor the distinctive typicity of each vineyard site.
